There you are chirping around happily, thinking it is your best day and then lightning strikes on your happiness, Satan has a fight with your goddess and boom, everything gets doomed. The very next moment something has happened that has changed the air around you. You can’t actually put figure on it but yes there has been a mishap. No one can understand how it feels to fall into depression except the person who’s going through it.
I have personally been through this for about a month in 2016. I cannot think of words that can explain my feelings of that time but I can surely give you an insight on how one little thing left me into the darkness and how I crawled out of it.
So, it’s not like you wake up one day and realise, Oh! What a tragic day it is going to be today. It is a series of feelings that takes birth step by step inside of you. It sheds out all of the happiness by filling negativity into soul. You feel that you’re the most unfortunate kid on this planet. That every other person’s life is better than yours.
But hold on. Have you seen the future? Who told you, you are unfortunate? Who came up to you and described that you are a burden or ill fated?
Lying on the bed for weeks I played a picture of thoughts in my mind and then I replayed it again and again. So here I am focusing on some points which might help you come into the sunlight.
THINGS TO THINK
Socialize– We all need companions. It doesn’t matter whether we are an introvert or extrovert, at this time, we all need to have someone by our side. This helps us to share our problems, feelings, thoughts and reach to a solution which might fade away some of the sadness. Plus communicating also diverts your mind.
Get up and make your brain work– Make your brain a Bermuda triangle at this time. Let all the stupidity and bullshit get in and nothing effect you because it gets all lost in there.
Do what you love– We are all happy when we do something which is our favourite. This is because it catches our full attention and there is no room for anything else. Your favourites can be from watching Tom & Jerry to painting the walls of your room.
Take a step– Just get out there. It’s not that tough, trust me. It might be a pain to leave the bed, put on your trousers and comb your hair. We can skip combing for a day or two but this does not mean you will stop doing things on a daily basis. An active body nurtures an active mind.
Keep yourself busy- Yes, this is the most important point. Do anything whether it’s your hobby or your work but make sure your mind is not free and unsettled. Focus on something and just do it. Make it a regular thing. Remember work and leisure is like a silent treatment for the brain.
Meditation- Look having a brain is awesome, not everybody is blessed with it. So relax and meditate, this is the best therapy. It calms you down and removes the impure thoughts and feelings that you have been facing lately. Done on a regular basis, meditation can answer to those questions which cannot be answered anywhere else in this world.
Get hold of the thorn that is bugging you- To put an end to this sad movie you have to figure out what is that thing or person which has been bugging you all this time. Once you have figured this out, go deal with it. Fix that thing or come at better terms with that person and you will find yourself at peace.
Be patient- At last be patient. Wait for life has something good for everyone. Believe that there are some people in this world who always look out for you. You cannot be selfish and forget what life has given you. You have to be thankful and understand that the ant fell many a times but it finally climbed the mountain.
Don’t let those tears shed away so easily
For they are pearls to your family
Hold onto the dimmest of light you see
May be that will be the end to your sad story finally
